Family Physician Adenike Khadijat Bakare is a UK-trained family physician who earned her M.B.Ch.B from Olabisi Onabanjo University in Nigeria before advancing her medical career in the United Kingdom. There, she completed her family medicine specialty training and obtained her Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). Dr. Bakare is drawn to primary care for the variety it offers and the invaluable opportunity to detect health concerns early, when intervention can make the most significant difference. Her clinical interests span a broad range, with particular expertise in women's health—including training and certification in contraception methods such as intrauterine device (IUD) insertion and removal, implant procedures, and comprehensive contraceptive counseling. Beyond reproductive health, Dr. Bakare has specialized training in minor surgical procedures and joint injections, which she integrates into her regular clinic practice. Her approach to healthcare is deeply holistic, treating each patient with compassion and empathy while considering the physical, emotional, and social factors that influence wellbeing.
